Chelsea Clark has been a “gearhead” as long as he can remember. Chelsea grew up in nearby Bisbee and graduated from Bisbee High School. He then attended UTI (Universal Technical Institute) in Phoenix Arizona and earned an associate’s degree in Automotive Technology. He returned to Bisbee and worked for O’Rielly Chrysler, Plymouth Dodge, and Mazda as a technician.
By 1990 Chelsea had earned Master Tech status with ASE, Chrysler Corporation and Mazda Motors of America. In 1993 Chelsea married his high school sweetheart Tracey. Chelsea attended Cochise Community College majoring in Welding and Drafting Technology. Chelsea and Tracey moved to Phoenix in 1994 so he could complete his degree at ASU (Arizona State University). Chelsea graduated from ASU (Magna Cum Laude) in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology/Industrial Management. Chelsea and Tracey returned the Sierra Vista area and Chelsea began work as a Service Manager/Technician. With encouragement from family, friends, and clients Chelsea rounded up some talent and opened Desert Automotive in January 2010. Chelsea’s interests include spending time with family, drag racing and working with anything mechanical. Chelsea’s other business interests include PSI (Performance Systems Incorporated) www.psisuperchargers.com. Chelsea enjoys traveling on weekends to drag races all over the country, to race, and represent PSI products. Tracey Clark has her share of experience in the business world. Tracey owned and operated a beauty salon in Bisbee and gave that up when she and Chelsea moved to Phoenix in 1994. Tracey then went to work for Southwest Airlines while the couple resided in the Phoenix area. After the two moved back to Sierra Vista in 1997 Tracey joined Terry Pohl’s team at Globetrotter Travel, where she worked as a travel agent. Tracey joined the Desert Automotive team right from the beginning and she was kicking and screaming all the way! (No Joke)!!! Tracey handles the décor and administration side of things and she is best at keeping the Desert Automotive crew in line. |

Mark was "borrowed" from the local Toyota Dealership in 2014 and was never allowed to return! Mark has worked in several shops and dealerships throughout his career. When he first joined the team, he requested to "only work on Asian imports". After 2 - 3 days at work, Mark's other talents were recognized and he now works on all of the motor homes and many of the HD vehicles that come through the door. Every now and then we "throw Mark a bone" and dispatch him a Toyota or two, just so he doesn't lose his touch. Mark is also ASE certified holding Master Status, ASE L-1 and Toyota Master Certified.
